Connecting people to their natural heritage
Talking Trees is a Sussex-based, community organisation that promotes an understanding of nature by delivering training and workshops in environmental awareness, seasonal celebration and Forest School.
It was set up in 2006 by Helen Thoms BA PGCE, a teacher and Forest School practitioner and Rachel Bennington MA, a drama therapist, storyteller and Forest School practitioner. Helen and Rachel each have many years experience of working with groups in the natural environment. Talking Trees combines their skills to create unique experiences that encourage personal and social development and develop creative play and expression.
Talking Trees draws on the expertise of a team of practitioners that includes bush craft specialists, hedgerow basket makers, wild food experts, Forest School practitioners, environmental artists and musicians.
